What is HTML Formatting?

HTML formatting is the use of HTML tags to create visual appearances on web pages. HTML tags, in general, give structure and meaning to content displayed in the browser. They tell us what content is a heading, what content is a list, and so on. HTML formatting gives web pages the ability to be visually appealing, as well as convey a message.

Basic HTML Formatting Tags

The most basic HTML tags are used to denote headings, paragraphs, lists, and links. Headings are typically formatted using the h1, h2, h3, etc. tags. Paragraphs are typically formatted using the p tag. Lists are typically formatted using the ul or ol tags. Links are typically formatted using the a tag.

More Advanced HTML Formatting

Beyond the basics, HTML formatting can include more advanced tags such as tables, images, forms, and more. Tables are used to display data in a tabular format, and can include both text and images. Images are used to embed photos and illustrations into web pages. Forms allow users to enter information that can be sent to the server for processing.

Conclusion

HTML formatting is an important part of web design, and is essential for creating aesthetically pleasing websites. By understanding and utilizing the various HTML formatting tags, you can produce engaging and effective web pages that will draw visitors to your site.
