CSS Outline

The CSS outline is a visual property of an element that defines an outline around the element. It is used to define the shape and dimensions of an element. Outlines are very useful when you want to draw attention to an element or call out certain parts of a page. Outlines can be applied using the outline property in CSS.

Outlines are usually applied to elements with a box-type such as a div, span, button, or link. The outline style can be set to any of the standard line styles such as solid, dotted, dashed, double, groove, ridge, inset, or outset. The size of the outline can also be adjusted with the outline-width property and color can be set with the outline-color property.

In addition to applying outlines to elements, outlines can also be applied to text. Outlines can be used to make text stand out against the background by adding emphasis or by simply making it more visible. Text outlines can also be adjusted by setting the outline-style property and outline-width property.

Outlines are an important part of web design, especially when it comes to creating clear and usable navigation. Outlines can also be used to add more visual interest to a page, as well as create a better user experience. Utilizing outlines in your CSS will help improve the overall aesthetics of your website.
