A Guide to Setting Up Remarketing Pixels in Google Ads

Remarketing is a powerful tool for businesses to use when advertising through Google Ads. It allows businesses to target customers that have already visited their website or interacted with their business. Setting up remarketing pixels in Google Ads requires a few steps, but once it's set up correctly, it can be a great way to increase sales and conversion rates.

Step 1: Create a Remarketing List

The first step to setting up remarketing pixels in Google Ads is to create a remarketing list. To do this, go to the Audience Manager in your Google Ads account and click “+ Remarketing List”. From there, you will have the option to create a remarketing list based on visitors to your website, app, or both.

Step 2: Choose Your Targeting Options

Once you have created your remarketing list, it’s time to choose your targeting options. You can decide which pages on your website visitors need to have seen before they are added to the list. You can also choose how long visitors should remain on the list before they are removed. The longer the duration, the more chances you’ll have to engage with potential customers.

Step 3: Add the Remarketing Pixel to Your Site

The next step is to add the remarketing pixel to your site. To do this, log into your Google Ads account and find the remarketing list you just created. On that page, you will see the code for the remarketing pixel. Copy the code and paste it into the HTML of every page on your website that you want to track.

Step 4: Add Your Remarketing List to Your Campaigns

Finally, you will need to add your remarketing list to your campaigns. To do this, head to the settings tab in your campaign and add the remarketing list as a targeting option. You can then tailor the ads and bids to this specific list for better results.

Setting up remarketing pixels in Google Ads isn’t difficult but it does require a few steps. Once set up correctly, it provides a great way to target customers that already know your brand which can improve your sales and conversion rates.
