YouTube Adds More Analytics Data and Updates the Studio Mobile App
YouTube Adds More Analytics Data, Updates Studio Mobile App
YouTube has announced a series of improvements to its analytics and editing features, aimed at giving creators improved insights into their videos’ performance and an easier way to edit on the go.
The changes come as YouTube continues to develop its mobile platform for creators, and update existing features such as its companion app YouTube Studio.
More Data in YouTube Analytics
Creators can now get more detailed insights into how their videos perform, with new data added to the ‘Overview’ tab in YouTube Studio. This includes top countries where videos are watched, device types used by viewers, and the average minutes viewed per session.
There are also new interactive charts that let creators explore how different variables — such as video watch time, video views, and audience retention — interact with each other.
Updates to YouTube Studio Mobile App
YouTube has also made a few changes to the YouTube Studio mobile app. As well as updated graphics and a “sleek” new design, there’s a new “Create” tab that gives users an easy way to upload videos, create thumbnails, and add descriptions from their phones.
The app also gives creators quick access to editing tools such as trimming and cropping. The update also includes macros that let users quickly apply filters to their entire library of videos at once.
These updates build on the wider effort by YouTube to improve its platform for creators, with new AI-powered moderation tools also recently added.
