Instagram Is Now Putting Ads In Your Profile Feed
It looks like Instagram is starting to roll out ads directly into user profiles. Rather than appearing in a user's News Feed, these ads will be pinned to the top of their profile page.
The ads will feature “shop now” and “learn more” call-to-action buttons, and users can swipe through up to three different ads at a time.
This means that marketers will be able to reach users directly in their profile feeds, without having to rely on organic content. This could open up an entirely new channel of direct response marketing for brands, potentially resulting in higher engagement rates.
It remains to be seen how this new type of ad format will affect user behaviour, but it certainly looks like it could be a powerful tool for marketing campaigns.
